Major Announcements

Nintendo opened the presentation with a strong lineup of first-party software, highlighted by new looks at The Duskbloods, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Star Fox (2026), and Xenoblade Genesis. The broadcast concluded with the reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, which is planned exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Additional announcements included a June 25 release date for Star Fox (2026) alongside confirmation that a playable demo would become available on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop later in the day. Nintendo also confirmed Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launches on September 17, while Xenoblade Genesis is targeting a 2027 release. To bridge that gap, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition was shadow-dropped immediately following the presentation, with upgraded versions of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 scheduled for later this year.

Third-Party Highlights

Third-party publishers also maintained a significant presence throughout the Direct. Kingdom Hearts IV was confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2, while the Kingdom Hearts Collection brings the series’ earlier entries to the platform with native releases. Final Fantasy Resonance introduced a new tactical RPG built around Square Enix’s HD-2D visual style, and Muramasa: Revenant Blades returns Vanillaware’s action RPG with enhanced visuals and additional content.

Nintendo also confirmed that Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic (The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil) will receive a Western release after initially appearing during the Japanese broadcast.
