Steins;Gate 15th Anniversary Event Reveals New Projects

The Steins;Gate franchise marked its 15th anniversary at the “One World” event, where MAGES shared updates on several ongoing and newly announced projects spanning games, live-action adaptations, and future developments in the series.

Steins;Gate Re;Boot Announced

One of the key announcements was Steins;Gate Re;Boot, a remake of the original visual novel featuring updated visuals and additional content. The project includes refreshed character designs by original artist huke, offering a modernized interpretation of the classic story while retaining its core identity.

A Japanese release is planned for next year, though platforms have not yet been confirmed.

Live-Action Series Still in Production

The previously announced Steins;Gate live-action adaptation, produced by Skydance, remains in development. In an interview with CBR, producer Tatsuya Matsubara confirmed that production is ongoing, although further details have not yet been revealed.

He noted that while work continues, additional information will be shared at a later date.

Thematic Sequel Still in Development

Matsubara also provided an update on a previously announced thematic sequel, confirming that the concept is still being developed into a full scenario.

According to the producer, the project remains in early conceptual stages, with further development ongoing as the team continues shaping its direction.

Looking Ahead

With multiple projects in development including a remake, a live-action adaptation, and a thematic sequel, the Steins;Gate franchise continues to expand beyond its original release. More updates are expected as each project progresses.
