New Routes Added to Knockout Tour
Knockout Tour tasks 24 drivers with racing across the game’s seamless world map, dropping the lowest-ranking players at five distinct checkpoints along the way. The update introduces two new connecting routes to the mode once you clear at least one standard rally:
- Drill Rally: Connects Wario Shipyard directly to Bowser’s Castle, passing through DK Pass and Mario Circuit.
- Boomerang Rally: Connects Salty Salty Speedway to Whistlestop Summit, carving through Moo Moo Meadows and Choco Mountain.

Nintendo confirmed that additional Knockout Tour routes are planned for future free updates.
Balance Tweaks & Photo Mode Stickers

Beyond the tracks, the patch adds a fun extra to Photo Mode, letting you place your collected in-game stickers directly onto your screenshots. The feature includes frame customization and supports both touch screen inputs and Joy-Con 2 gyro pointer controls to adjust placement.
Competitive players will also notice a handful of hidden balance adjustments under the hood. Nintendo has boosted the acceleration stats for slower characters and vehicles, increased the gliding speed for high-speed racers, and tweaked item drop rates across the board. You will also now be able to see if a rival racer is holding a Super Horn item.
The update is live now and will download automatically if your system is connected to the internet.
