KonNetwork Editorial Standards

These principles guide everything we publish. Our goal is to ensure every review and article delivers technical accuracy, clear analysis, and useful insight.

Core Principles

  • The Work Itself: Our reviews focus entirely on design, mechanics, and technical execution. We do not project external ideologies onto our evaluations. Every critique is an audit of the game as a structural and creative work.
  • Integrity in Presentation: We reject the attention economy. Our titles and imagery avoid clickbait, drama, and manufactured outrage. Truthful writing matters more than chasing viral traffic.
  • The B.E.I.V.T. Standard: Every review follows our specific layout of Background, Experience, Impressions, Verdict, and TLDR to give readers a consistent, structured breakdown. We also provide proper attribution to the individual developers, directors, and artists behind the game rather than just naming a studio logo.
  • Human-Only Content: AI-generated writing has no place here. Every word on this site is the product of human observation and manual testing. Every piece of content is read and checked to ensure it hits our standards for accuracy and tone.

Transparency & Ethics

  • Educational Value: We aim to inform. We want you to walk away from a review having learned something new about a game’s systems or its place in history. We break down complex mechanics with clear, direct explanations.
  • A Balanced Verdict: We do not issue final, absolute proclamations. Our reviews document a complete experience, providing the performance data and design context so you can make your own informed decision.
  • Independent Coverage: We always disclose the source of our review material. Most games we cover are purchased independently to maintain complete editorial freedom. Our coverage decisions are based on structural merit and technical interest, not marketing cycles.

Contributor Collective

KonNetwork is an independent operation. We occasionally invite specialized analysts to contribute to our deep dives and technical audits.

We aren’t looking for standard content creators. We look for writers who care about technical depth, accuracy, and gaming history. All contributions follow our B.E.I.V.T. framework to keep reviews grounded and consistent. If you have deep expertise in a specific niche and want to write for us, check out our Join the Team page for details.
