Get ready for Under Defeat’s return in the Ultimate Edition, launching worldwide on December 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam. This iconic arcade shoot ’em up from 2005, developed by City Connection with oversight from Takehiro Eda and Zerodiv Fukushima Factory, has been revitalized for a new generation.
Set in an alternate history at war, players control a heavily armed helicopter in a semi-isometric battlefield. The Ultimate Edition includes three gameplay modes:
- Arcade Mode: A faithful 4:3 recreation of the original arcade experience.
- New Order Mode: Updated to widescreen 16:9 for modern displays.
- New Order Mode+: Adds the “WARNING GAUGE” system for added risk/reward gameplay.
Additionally, the game features a remastered soundtrack from video game music veteran Shinji Hosoe, known for his work on Ridge Racer and Tekken.
