Girls’ Frontline 2 | Sakura Breakdown

Sakura (Model 100) arrives as the centerpiece of the Advance! Miss Courier! event. While she maintains a shy and polite exterior, her role on the board is technically focused on AOE pressure and Ember generation. She acts as a secondary Burn anchor, providing the necessary coverage to charge Thermal Conduction for the whole squad.

Sakura Overview

Detailed character profile for Sakura (Model 100) from our Sakura GFL2 guide highlighting her courier traits.
A blooming delivery with a heavy-metal punch.
Sakura packs a petal that’s anything but soft.

Sakura is a Fire Vanguard who excels at spreading Sakura Marks and generating Embers. She acts as a sub-DPS who bridges the gap between pure support and primary damage. Because she triggers AOE Burn damage when hit or when using her Ultimate, she is a reliable pick for players building around the 2026 Burn meta.

  • Seiyuu: Ai Kakuma
  • The Role: Fire Vanguard / AOE Burn.
  • Stat Priorities: Attack, Attack Boost, Crit Rate, Crit Damage.
  • Recommended Attachments: Phase Strike for efficiency or Burn Boost for optimization.

Sakura’s Skills & Keys

Sakura focuses on exploiting the Sakura Mark and Bad Luck debuffs. Her playstyle rewards technical positioning that allows her to jump into the fray using Falling Blossom, triggering AOE reactions across the board.

Understanding Sakura’s (Model 100) Keys

  • Hard Work and Guts (Fixed Key): Essential for setup. At the start of battle, she applies Sakura Marks to multiple random enemies.
  • Just in Time Logistics (Fixed Key): Damage consistency. When Sakura Mark is not applied by her Ultimate, Sakura applies Overburn to the target.
  • Apologize from the Heart (Fixed Key): Utility tool. When applying Bad Luck, she cleanses 1 buff from the target.
  • Jinxed by Nature (Fixed Key): Boss focus. Applies Bad Luck to the enemy unit with the highest HP at the start of battle.
  • Ace Courier (Common Key): Increases Crit Rate by 5%. AOE damage dealt to enemy targets with debuffs is increased by 10%.

Sakura headlines the Advance Miss Courier recruitment.

Sakura debuts alongside Krolik and Nemesis. While her base performance is modest compared to units like Sharkry, she provides reliable coverage for Fire teams at V0.

Sakura’s (Model 100) Vertebrae Breakpoints:

  • V0: Fully functional. A solid baseline for Ember generation and general Burn coverage.
  • V3: The efficiency spike. Grants defense ignore and a large damage boost, improving her performance in sustained boss fights.
  • V6: The AOE ceiling. This allows multiple Sakura Mark instances to apply from allied attacks, significantly expanding the Burn footprint.

Verdict: Securing V0 is enough for collection and general use. Pushing for V6 is only recommended for Commanders fully committed to the Burn meta.

Sakura Team Recommendations

Sakura performs best when paired with dolls who can capitalize on her AOE marks.

The “Wildfire” Mono-Fire

  • Main DPS: Lewis (Lewis Gun)
  • Sub-DPS: Sakura (Model 100)
  • Support: Vector
  • Sustain: Qiuhua (Type 97S)
  • Strategy: This squad focuses on maximum Ember generation. Vector and Sakura apply the initial marks, while Lewis exploits them for massive salvo damage. Qiuhua provides the front line durability and secondary burn triggers needed to keep the engine hot.

The “Misfortune” Execution

  • Main DPS: Qiongjiu
  • Sub-DPS: Sakura (Model 100)
  • Support: Vector (Kriss Vector)
  • Sustain: Centaureissi (G36)
  • Strategy: Use Sakura to apply the Bad Luck debuff to high HP targets. This creates the perfect opening for Qiongjiu’s follow up attacks. Vector provides the support attacks, and Centaureissi keeps the team healthy through difficult stability checks.

Crimson Covenant | Sakura’s Signature Weapon

Lightning muzzle, raining lead.
The Covenant meet the sparks of the Fire meta.
  • Effect: Burn damage dealt is increased by 15%. Out of turn attack damage is increased by up to 14%.
  • Trait: If a weakness is exploited, ignores part of the enemy defense. If a Burn weakness is exploited, defense ignore is increased.
  • The Verdict: This weapon is optional. Svarog or its SR equivalent perform nearly as well due to their defense ignore properties. It is, however, the best in slot weapon for Peri if you use her.

Lind & Vector Rerun Banners

  • Lind Rerun: A Corrosion based anchor. She is a powerful unit even at V0 and remains the definitive pick for debuff heavy playstyles.
  • Vector Rerun: A mandatory Fire support. Her second rerun is a high priority for anyone lacking her V1 breakpoint, which provides a massive Burn vulnerability increase.

Expansion Keys & Outfits

The update overhauls veteran support capabilities while introducing a new look for the clumsy courier.

New Expansion Keys

  • Vector: Her new key, Depression Empathy, is a game changer. It allows Vector to heal the whole squad whenever an allied unit deals Burn damage, solving the sustain issues in mono Fire teams.
  • Sakura: Gains expanded AOE potential, allowing her Sakura Marks to trigger more frequently during out of turn actions.

Closing Thoughts | Sakura Breakdown

Sakura adds necessary AOE depth to the Burn roster. While she may eventually face competition from upcoming units like Loreley, her V0 performance is solid enough for current content. The real winner of this update is Vector, whose new Expansion Key provides the healing mono Fire teams have desperately needed.

Secure Sakura at V0 if you like her design, but prioritize Vector’s V1 if you don’t have it yet. Good luck with your rolls, Commander.
