Girls’ Frontline 2 | Lewis Breakdown

Our Lewis GFL2 guide analyzes the arrival of the toy designer and how this Fire Sentinel turns salvo-based damage into a battlefield carnival in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium.

Lewis (Lewis Gun) returns as a centerpiece for the Project Neural Convergence event. While she maintains a gentle disposition and a love for cute things, her role on the board is highly aggressive. She acts as a specialized Fire anchor who scales through Ember generation and follow up attacks, providing the consistent pressure needed for modern Burn compositions.

Lewis Overview

Detailed character profile for Lewis (Lewis Gun) in our Lewis GFL2 guide, highlighting her toy designer traits.
Tin soldiers ready.
Lewis reports for duty.

Lewis is a Fire Sentinel focused on Salvo-based damage, Ember generation, and rotation efficiency. She performs well immediately at V0, but her ceiling rises meaningfully with investment that increases Ultimate uptime and Salvo frequency. Unlike some seasonal units, Lewis is flexible enough to function in mixed compositions provided you have a reliable way to apply Overburn.

  • Seiyuu: Yoko Hikasa
  • The Role: Fire Sentinel / Salvo DPS.
  • Stat Priorities: Attack, Attack Boost, Crit Rate, Crit Damage.
  • Recommended Attachments: Phase Strike for efficiency or Burn Boost for optimization.

Lewis’s Skills & Keys

Lewis focuses on using Tin Soldiers to trigger Volley Fire instances. Her playstyle rewards players who can cycle her Ultimate, Toy Carnival, to maximize the Veterancy ranks of her summons.

Understanding Lewis’ (Lewis Gun) Keys

  • Idealistic Designer (Fixed Key): Essential for setup. Before performing Volley Fire, Lewis applies Overburn to the target for 2 turns.
  • Guardian From The Cloud (Fixed Key): Speeds up her scaling. Units with Tin Soldiers gain 2 stacks of Merit at the end of their action.
  • Sunny Imagination (Fixed Key): Pure damage scaling. When attacking an Overburned target, damage is increased by 15% and she applies Defense Down II.
  • Mighty Miracles (Common Key): Increases Attack by 5% and Ultimate Skill damage by 10%.

Lewis’ (Lewis Gun) Situational Keys

  • Secret of Spreading Smiles: The effects of the passive skill Tin Soldier on Parade is changed:, It can now attach Tin Soldier even to non-Burn attribute Dolls. If a basic attack or active attack does not deal Burn damage, they can still trigger Volley Fire.
  • Protector of Innocence: The active skill Surprising Funball and the ultimate skill Toy Carnival cleanse 1 buff on the target before they resolve.

Target locked.
Fire team incoming.

Lewis debuts alongside Littara and Ksenia. She provides solid single-target damage and reliable Ember generation at V0, making her a safe entry point for players needing Fire depth.

Lewis’ (Lewis Gun) Vertebrae Breakpoints

  • V0: Fully functional. A reliable baseline for free-to-play players.
  • V2: The efficiency milestone. This alters her rotation to allow more frequent Ultimate usage and higher Ember generation.
  • V3: Improves consistency by changing Fumo Command to operate on turns rather than attack count.
  • V6: The competitive ceiling. Lewis triggers an additional Salvo every turn, massively accelerating Blaze buildup.

Verdict: Securing V0 is enough for general content. If you plan to main Fire, V2 is the recommended stopping point for the best return on investment.

Lewis Team Recommendations

Lewis thrives in squads that can maintain steady Overburn application.

The “Inferno Parade” Mono-Fire

  • Main DPS: Lewis (Lewis Gun)
  • Sub-DPS: Qiuhua (Type 97S)
  • Support: Vector
  • Sustain: Centaureissi
  • Strategy: This is the gold standard for Fire compositions. Qiuhua and Vector maintain constant Overburn stacks, which Lewis exploits to trigger infinite Salvo loops. Centaureissi provides the necessary stability and healing to keep the parade moving.

The “Toy Soldier” Hybrid

  • Main DPS: Lewis (Lewis Gun)
  • Sub-DPS: Qiongjiu
  • Support: Loreley (DSR-50)
  • Sustain: Florence
  • Strategy: This team utilizes the Secret of Spreading Smiles expansion key. Qiongjiu’s follow up attacks trigger Lewis’s Volley Fire regardless of element, while DSR-50 provides the long range Overburn needed to keep Lewis’s damage multipliers active.

Toysmith | Lewis’s Signature Weapon

The signature weapon Toysmith data sheet and Burn damage stats from our Lewis GFL2 guide.
Built to burn.
Cute does not mean safe.
  • Effect: Increases Burn damage by up to 30%. When exploiting a Burn weakness, it ignores an additional 10% of enemy defense.
  • Trait: If three or more instances of Burn damage are dealt in one turn, Burn damage on the following turn is increased.
  • The Verdict: This is currently the strongest MG in the game. While Lewis can use Mjolnir as a budget option, Toysmith provides significant defense penetration that is hard to pass up for high-end Bossing.

Additional Note: Balthilde provides a free MG that increases party damage by 10%.

Florence & Peri Rerun Banners

  • Florence Rerun: A Hydro Support focused on sustain. She uses her bear, Arios, to tank damage while providing team wide cleanses. She is a solid pick for Hydro or Turbid rosters but only requires V0.
  • Peri Rerun: A Fire Support attack enabler. She trades her own HP to trigger single-target follow ups. She is niche and generally considered a collection pull unless you are building a very specific high frequency squad.

Lewis Boutique Outfits

  • Sunscreen Battle: Beach day approved. This limited outfit for Lewis is available at a launch discount in the Boutique.
  • Operation Beachfront | Weapon Skin: A summer themed look for the Lewis Gun, available for a limited time to complete the Sunscreen Battle aesthetic.

Closing Thoughts | Lewis Breakdown

Lewis adds a high-tier Fire option to the 2026 meta with incredible V0 performance. Her ability to transition from a mono-element anchor to a mixed team supporter via her expansion key makes her one of the more versatile Sentinels in the game.

Secure her at V0 to round out your Fire core and consider Toysmith if you lack a high-tier Machine Gun. Good luck with your procurement, Commander.
