3D Realms and Anshar Studios have announced that their reimagining of the cult-classic Painkiller will launch on October 9 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Digital pre-orders are now open, with two editions available at launch.

Premise
Painkiller returns with its signature mix of gothic environments, brutal demon-slaying, and now, online co-op for up to three players,with full offline support included.
Players take on the role of condemned warriors trapped in Purgatory, given a chance at redemption by the Voice of the Creator. Your mission? Stop the fallen angel Azazel from unleashing a demonic invasion of Earth.
