Team NINJA and Koei Tecmo have officially revealed Nioh 3, the next evolution in the action RPG series, coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) in early 2026.
An Alpha Demo is now live on PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store and will be available until June 18.
Conquer the Crucible, Become Shogun
Set in a more expansive open-field environment, Nioh 3 retains the signature tension of the series while giving players freedom to explore cursed villages, battle powerful yokai, and survive the brutal trials of The Crucible. The game blends high-stakes exploration with punishing, fast-paced combat in a twisted feudal Japan.
Dual Combat Styles: Samurai & Ninja
Players can switch between two distinct fighting styles:
- Samurai Style focuses on traditional, grounded combat. New techniques like Arts Proficiency and Deflect enhance martial arts precision and parry timing.
- Ninja Style emphasizes speed and mobility, with aerial attacks, evasive skills like Evade, and clone-based trickery using Mist.
You’re free to swap styles at will or master one for a focused build.
Multiplayer Returns
Nioh 3 supports full online play with:
- Summon Visitor, allowing you to request or offer help mid-game.
- Expeditions, a cooperative mode returning from previous entries, letting players team up to explore and fight together.
Whether solo or in a squad, teamwork remains a core part of overcoming the game’s steep challenge.
