Kenji Ozawa, the director behind Visions of Mana, has announced the formation of Studio Sasanqua, a new game development studio based in Shibuya, Tokyo. With experience at Bandai Namco and NetEase Games’ Ouka Studio, Ozawa aims to bring his expertise to this new venture.

A New Studio with a Clear Vision


Studio Sasanqua will focus on developing and publishing original titles for consoles and PC, while also collaborating with external studios on game production.

“The name comes from a flower that blooms in winter,” Ozawa explained. “Making games is incredibly rewarding, but it’s also incredibly challenging. Games are products, and there are certain things we need to do because of that. I want to create a place where we can face both of these aspects.”
