Valve’s storefront just dropped an absolute steal for 2D side-scroller fans. Domesticated Ant Games and publisher Dear Villagers have decided that Gravity Circuit is free of charge on Steam to celebrate the announcement of the sequel.
The promotion kicked off today alongside the official reveal of Gravity Circuit 2, which is slated to arrive in 2027. You have from now until June 14th to log into your account, claim your digital copy, and secure it in your permanent library forever.
Originally released in 2023, Gravity Circuit heavily channels the mechanical DNA of classic 16-bit titles like Mega Man X and the Mega Man Zero series. You control Kai, a war hero fighting through 12 distinct stages to take down the rogue Virus Army. Rather than relying strictly on standard ranged busters, the core loop leans hard into lightning-fast martial arts combos, satisfying grapple-hook traversal, and a robust chip-customization system.
We took a deep dive into how these systems hold up under pressure, mapping out performance benchmarks and mechanical depth. You can check out our comprehensive Gravity Circuit review for a full breakdown of the combat and structural design.
The game is also fully Steam Deck Verified out of the box, making it an incredible pickup if you are looking for a flawless, high-performance platformer to play on a handheld setup.
Head over to the official Steam store page before June 14th to add it to your library before the $0.00 price tag goes away.
