Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have unveiled a new DEAD OR ALIVE title for PlayStation 5, with other platforms still unconfirmed. No release date has been announced yet.

The teaser trailer gives a first look at Kasumi in a new outfit that blends her classic look with a touch of purple reminiscent of Ayane’s costume. Ryu Hayabusa appears as well, blocking her attacks and showing off the game’s hit effects. A message on-screen reads, “The dawn of a new chapter awaits”, alongside the 30th anniversary logo, with fine print noting the footage comes from an in-development build.
The announcement also celebrates 30 years of the series, which first appeared in Japanese arcades on November 26, 1996, created by the late Tomonobu Itagaki.
