Indie Live Expo Returns April 25, 2026: Over 100 Games Showcased

I’ve been waiting for a legitimate successor to Parasite Eve since 1998. Most developers try to mimic the “spooky city” vibe but fail to grasp the specific technical flow of the combat. Sukeban Games looks ready to bridge that gap.

The Indie Live Expo April 2026 lineup features .45 Parabellum Bloodhound as a primary standout, and it is the main reason I’m tracking the event this year.

Ryu’s Office confirmed the event kicks off on April 25, 2026, at 2 AM PT, broadcasting a four-hour marathon across Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok with over 200 participating studios. It’s a massive lineup. The “Indie Waves” segment returns with Cygames as the sponsor. They plan to fire off 160 titles in a single burst. It’s usually chaotic. Yet, the committee handpicked a few highlights that deserve technical scrutiny.

.45 Parabellum Bloodhound is the highlight. Sukeban is leaning into a lo-fi cyberpunk aesthetic that feels heavy and intentional. It isn’t just a retro skin; it’s a mechanical nod to the Active Time combat that made the original Parasite Eve an RPG masterpiece. I’m specifically looking at the turn-management and how that sphere-based movement translates to their cyberpunk setting. It looks sharp.

Other confirmed titles include the Chinese sci-fi sandbox No Mortal Space and Well Dweller, a dark fantasy metroidvania from Kyle Thompson. We are also seeing Yunyun Syndrome!? Rhythm Psychosis, which looks appropriately unhinged.

J-mon and Kaori Horiuchi return for the English broadcast. If you want to see the future of the lo-fi RPG, set your alarm. I’ll be watching.
