SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., previously released on Steam, is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2. The upcoming console versions will include rollback netcode and support full cross-platform play.
Legacy series producer Seiji Aoki shared the update during Virtua Fighter Direct 2025 Spring, acknowledging fan feedback from Discord and other platforms. He confirmed that R.E.V.O. on consoles will go beyond a simple port, with more content to be revealed in future updates.
