Publisher refint/games and developer Bar Holographic Otaku will release Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch on July 3 for $14.99, the companies announced. Originally launched for PC through Steam and itch.io in September 2023, this stylish first-person dungeon RPG now makes its console debut.
Premise
Artificial Dream in Arcadia lets players explore Gensokyo from an outsider’s perspective—through the dreams of Sumireko Usami, a high school student who visits the fantasy land in her sleep.
The game draws inspiration from classic first-person dungeon RPGs like Shin Megami Tensei, Megami Tensei, and Wizardry, featuring maze-like exploration and strategic turn-based battles.
But Gensokyo now has a problem: clones called Sleepers are spreading everywhere, and only Sumireko, with her app-equipped smartphone, has the means to stop them.

A wide range of Touhou characters can be captured and fused. Managing your team’s composition and energy usage is key to survival.
