KonNetwork is an independent gaming site that delivers spoiler-free reviews, curated news, and long-form commentary. Every piece explains what a game is, how it plays, and why it matters.
At its core, our site translates interactive experiences into clear writing. We do not write reviews to sell a verdict. Instead, we give readers enough insight to decide for themselves whether a game is worth their time.
KonNetwork takes a different approach to games and coverage. We prioritize clarity over noise, experience over hype, and background over quick verdicts.
We also highlight the people and studios behind each game. This adds an educational layer and shows each title’s place in the broader creative and industry landscape. Our goal is not to define which games matter. Instead, we help readers decide what resonates with them.
Meet the Founder
It began with Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis, the moment gaming became a lasting passion. Over time, that interest grew into horror, JRPGs, action games, racers, platformers, and fighters. The Sega Dreamcast remains a favorite because of its library and its willingness to take risks.
For example, standout titles include Parasite Eve, Deus Ex, Max Payne 2, Shadow Hearts, God Hand, Devil Survivor, and The House of the Dead 2. These games shaped a lifelong love of gaming. They all share strong identity, creative ambition, and experiences that linger long after the credits roll.
KonNetwork reflects that same mindset. We explore all kinds of games. Some take chances, others offer unique experiences, and many simply provide fun. We also tell the stories behind the developers who make them.
Industry Recognition
Industry professionals and creators have shared and acknowledged our work, including Aksys Publishing, Frank DeWindt II of Aksys Publishing, Doekuramori of The Citadel and Beyond Citadel, and Mothman47, composer for Beyond Citadel.
This recognition shows our commitment to careful analysis and fair coverage. Many indie developers rely on independent reviews to get their work noticed, and we strive to meet that need. We focus on providing transparent, spoiler-free reviews.
How Reviews Work
Every review on KonNetwork is spoiler-free. We follow the custom B.E.I.V.T. framework consistently. This structure ensures clarity while translating how a game feels to play into readable writing.
Each review includes the following sections:
- Background: Development history, release context, and platform information
- Experience: Personal history with the series, genre, or developer
- Impressions: Detailed thoughts on gameplay, mechanics, art, audio, and design
- Verdict: A fair, no-score summary that reflects the full experience
- TLDR: A concise final take with pros, cons, and a score out of 10
Additionally, carefully selected images support the writing. They convey tone, pacing, and atmosphere, helping readers visualize the experience and decide if a game matches their interests.
Our Mission
Great games are remembered by how they feel, not by a number. KonNetwork captures that feeling through writing that values details, nuance, and player experience.
Reviews are informative, clear, and thoughtful. They contribute to a broader conversation about game design, creativity, and why certain games endure. We also explain what makes each game unique, helping readers understand its place in the industry.
Transparency and Ethics
We purchase all games independently unless otherwise stated. When review copies are provided, we disclose that openly. Editorial decisions rely on curiosity and experience, not marketing pressure.
Reader feedback is welcomed. Questions, corrections, and discussion help shape our site and maintain its standards.
Editorial Independence
KonNetwork operates without paid sponsorships, outside investors, or editorial mandates. We choose coverage based on merit and interest. Opinions on our site are honest, independent, and fully owned.
Editorial Standards
KonNetwork follows strict editorial guidelines to ensure fairness, transparency, and clarity in every review. For the full breakdown of our standards, see our Editorial Standards page.
Linux Compatibility
We test and verify games tagged with Linux support through ProtonDB to meet a Gold rating or higher. This ensures accurate information for readers using Linux setups.
