This fictional location is modeled after Kanayama in the Gifu Prefecture. The project maintains the “beauty in terror” aesthetic established by Ryukishi07 and character designer kera.
The original soundscape for the title involved a collaboration between Akira Yamaoka, Kensuke Inage, and composers dai and xaki. While a manga is a silent medium, the atmosphere is heavily influenced by these established tonal pillars.
