New events, system updates, and major gameplay additions teased ahead of version update
Sunborn has revealed an extensive preview of the upcoming update for Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, packed with new content, system overhauls, and community-focused features. The full 120-minute special program can be viewed below.
Special Preview Program
Key Highlights
New Event – Zucchero Cat Cafe
- A themed event with a variety of rewards, featuring the free addition of Faye and her signature handgun. Faye will also be added to the Standard Pool after the event ends.
Springfield Outfit & Menu Interaction
- A new paid outfit for Springfield includes a fully animated, interactive home menu background featuring her dance routine.
Gameplay Updates
- Artifact Recovery introduces a new rogue-like gameplay mode offering income generation.
- A new boss arrives in Crossroads, while Gunsmoke sees the debut of a Hydro/Burn-weak enemy.
- Flarebus makes its appearance in the Expansion Drill.
- MOD Keys for Sharkry and Tololo will be available.
Gacha and Banner Changes
- Selection banners for Suomi, Ullrid, Makiatto, and Daiyan will guarantee your chosen T-Doll/weapon within 80 or 70 rolls.
- A paid Elite Package includes an elite T-Doll and matching weapon.
- Old outfits return with discount vouchers.
Collection & Progression Systems
- A Commander Gender Change Card is available for free via in-game mail.
- New collection features will reward players with titles for unlocking various customization options such as outfits and skins.
- Players can now choose CGs for loading screens via a new CG Playlist feature.
- The Voyage Log duration is being shortened from 30 to 20 days to allow for faster resource gain, now including Targeted Calibration Chips.
- Past Events and Story Chapters will be gradually added under new archive tabs, starting with Sojourners of the Glass Island.

- An official GFL2 OST is in the works.
- Offline events will be held at Anime Expo 2025 from July 3–6.
