SEGA is expanding the roster in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds with a new content update arriving February 25, bringing two fan-favorite IDW characters into the lineup.
The update adds Tangle and Whisper as fully playable racers, pulling the duo from the IDW Sonic comic universe and dropping them straight into CrossWorlds’ high-speed chaos. Both characters will be integrated into standard race modes, letting players slot them into Grand Prix events, online matches, and custom races.
Alongside the character additions, SEGA is also launching a limited-time in-game event themed around the pair.
Tangle & Whisper Festival Event
The in-game Tangle & Whisper Festival begins February 26 at 4:00 p.m. PT / 7:00 p.m. ET and runs through March 1 at 3:59 p.m. PT / 6:59 p.m. ET.
While full event details haven’t been outlined yet, these festival events typically rotate themed challenges, rewards, and featured matchmaking playlists.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
