The trailer opens with Leon speaking to a woman over the phone, confirming that six recent deaths are connected to individuals tied to Raccoon City. Her voice could belong to Sherry Birkin or Ingrid Hunnigan, though Capcom stops short of confirming it. The exchange immediately frames the game with a procedural edge, leaning into a detective-driven horror tone rather than pure spectacle.

That’s the real survival horror.

New footage highlights both first-person and third-person perspectives, with quick cuts between close-quarters combat, the streets of Raccoon City, and the interior of a visibly deteriorating RPD building. The shift between perspectives appears seamless, reinforcing the hybrid structure Capcom has been promoting.

The trailer also expands on Victor Gideon, positioned as a central suspect in the string of nationwide deaths. His past involvement in T-Virus research at Umbrella suggests a direct link to the Raccoon City incident, grounding the mystery in established series canon. Brief flashes of new enemy types hint at broader creature variety ahead of launch.

Resident Evil Requiem arrives on Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, Switch 2 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on February 27th.
