Nioh 3 Demo Update 1.03.00 is now live, addressing several gameplay issues and bug fixes across both the demo and the full retail release.
If you missed it, Team Ninja also released Version 1.02.02 earlier this week, which addressed a separate set of issues. You can review those patch notes alongside this update for a full picture of recent changes.
Bug Fixes
General
- Adjusted item recovery so players who were unable to obtain valuables dropped by Green Shadow’s Blade in the field “1572 CE – Warring States” can now receive them after loading their save data.
- Fixed an issue when using the Martial Art Unbroken with the Samurai weapon cestuses, where certain Martial Arts could not be linked to others when using backward movement inputs and Strong Attacks.
- Corrected a visual inconsistency that caused elbow and knee angles to face further inward during movement in Samurai Style compared to how the character appeared during Character Creation.
- Fixed a bug where character creation data could be overwritten when changing the character name through Save/Load Settings during Character Creation.
- Resolved an issue where the Recommended Level for accepting certain Challenge missions after completing the game was set higher than intended.
- Partially addressed an issue that made matchmaking difficult during Expeditions.
- Implemented other minor fixes and adjustments.
Steam-Specific Fixes
- Fixed a rare issue that could corrupt game data if the player exited the game while praying at a shrine.
- Partially resolved a visual bug where water surfaces would occasionally emit a purple glow.
