Pony Canyon has officially revealed the TV anime adaptation of Mechanical Marie (Kikaijikake no Marie), based on the romantic sci-fi manga by Aki Akimoto. The show is set to premiere this fall, and the announcement comes with a key visual, teaser trailer, and main cast and staff info.

Marie used to be a martial arts prodigy. Now she’s undercover as a mechanical maid—assigned to protect Arthur, a cold and distant heir caught in a brutal inheritance war. Her mission? Keep him alive and keep her humanity a secret. One slip and it’s instant execution.
But Arthur, who wants nothing to do with people, is starting to grow attached to his suspiciously capable “maid.” As emotions get tangled with survival, Marie’s biggest challenge might not be the assassins—but hiding her growing feelings.

Aki Akimoto originally published Mechanical Marie as a one-shot in LaLa magazine in March 2020. It began full serialization in June 2020 and wrapped up in June 2023, ending with six volumes.
- Yen Press will release the first English volume on August 26, 2025.
- A direct sequel, titled Mechanical Marie+, launches this week in LaLa.
