IO Interactive has officially revealed 007 First Light, a standalone reimagining of James Bond’s origin story, launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
An Origin Story Like Never Before
Set before Bond earns his license to kill, 007 First Light explores a younger, more impulsive James Bond during his MI6 training days. After a heroic act during his time as a naval air crewman, Bond is recruited into the revived Double 0 program. But a botched mission forces him to partner with reluctant mentor Greenway, uncovering a conspiracy that threatens to shake the State from within.
