Nintendo has released Update 1.0.2 for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, addressing a wide range of bugs alongside several usability and interface adjustments.
The update resolves multiple progression and stability issues. A crash tied to Skell flight during the affinity mission A Girl’s Wings has been fixed, and Online Missions now correctly display the host player’s position and appearance. Destination markers for Material Tracking and Squad Tasks should now function correctly.
Audio issues have also been corrected, including mono playback during cutscenes and environmental music restarting after combat. A serious save data problem involving Recruited Blades and placeholder characters has been fixed, with the update also repairing affected save files.
Combat-related fixes include corrected Overdrive UI behavior, debuff label accuracy, and combat log display issues. Several augment effects now function as described, and Skell weapon duplication and damage display problems have been resolved.
Additional fixes cover event and cutscene bugs, localization errors across multiple languages, Fashion Gear list issues, Skell part restoration problems, and shop slot behavior. Confirmed exploit vulnerabilities and text errors have also been addressed.
On the functionality side, new tips have been added to select menu screens, such as Class Change. Online Missions now display buff and debuff icons, and two missions previously sharing the name Backup Request have been given distinct titles.
