Game Pass and Play Anywhere
Several of these titles will land directly on Game Pass, including Forza Horizon 6, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Terminull Brigade. Microsoft also reiterated support for Play Anywhere, with many games playable across console, PC, and cloud. Players can take their games on the go with the ROG Xbox Ally handheld, launching Oct. 16.
Editor’s Take
This year’s Xbox showing at TGS felt a little lighter than usual, with Forza Horizon 6 carrying the weight for first-party announcements. The return of Gungrave Gore with updated mechanics was a pleasant surprise given the original’s struggles, often written off as a point-based shooter in the vein of The Club.
Capcom and Square Enix stepping up support for Xbox is good news for players, and a deeper dive into the Fatal Frame II remake is welcome. The series has always been niche compared to Resident Evil, but continued support might finally give it the recognition it deserves. Personally, I’ll be picking it up and hoping it lands closer to Capcom’s REmake than their more divisive “reimaginings.”
