The prices on Xbox’s digital game sales for Black Friday are now live until December 3rd. We’ve listed some strong recommendations below.
Xbox 360 Sales (Backwards Compatible)
Asura’s Wrath ($3.99)
Genre: Action, Beat ‘Em Up, Rail Shooter
HowLongToBeat: 7hrs
A forgotten gem and personal favorite, what feels like a playable anime brought to you by the creators of Tail Concerto, .Hack, and many other noteworthy titles, CyberConnect2.
What it does: Combines an epic soundtrack, cel-shaded visuals with outstanding voice acting, an emotionally raw story of Journey To The West, making it an unique and memorable experience. The biggest drawback is needing the Episode 11.5, and 15.5 DLCs to have all of the story. ($1.99 a piece)
Lost Odyssey ($8.24)
Genre: JRPG, Turn-Based
HowLongToBeat: 50hrs
Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy‘s second game upon leaving Square Enix with the formation of his new studio Mistwalker. Lost Odyssey in many ways is a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy, and has longtime composer Nobuo Uematsu on it as well on this Xbox 360 exclusive.
What it does: Combines the gritter aspects of classic Final Fantasy with an interesting premise of immortal characters against the backdrop of a magical industrial revolution with a story focusing on evoking human emotions. The combat system is reminiscent of Legend of Dragoon with its ring system.
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD ($3.99)
Genre: Survival Horror

The second best way to play the game, Code Veronica X is an HD release of the extended cut PS2 version, which released after the original Dreamcast game. Taking place after Resident Evil 2, Code Veronica sees Claire Redfield receive her own game and notes the first time that the series moved to 3D rendered backgrounds, and was created by the main Resident Evil studio, Capcom Production Studio 4.
What it does: Provides one of the most challenging Resident Evil games in the classic formula, while offering itself as a greatest hits of everything the series did right within the classic formula. The most variety in bosses, locations, weapons and more.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition ($3.99)
Genre: Action RPG

The second entry in The Witcher series, and the only console release of it at the time, built around the use of the controller and is Xbox One X Enhanced as well.
What it does: The second Witcher game offers a mature, non-linear story, blending tactical and dynamic combat. With stunning visuals and refined mechanics powered by a modern engine, it builds on the strengths of the original to deliver a more advanced and immersive RPG experience.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown ($8.99)

The first game in awhile for the series to return to the original setting of Strangereal, while lending itself to a good balance between an arcadey feel and into the weighty feel of traditional fight simulator games.
What it does: Provides a streamlined but respectful offering for new and longtime Ace Combat fans, with a memorable soundtrack, thrilling missions and even better ones in the season pass content.
Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle ($9.99)

The 10th anniversary celebrates two of PlatinumGames’ iconic titles: Vanquish, directed by Shinji Mikami (creator of Resident Evil and God Hand), which redefined the third-person cover shooter, and Bayonetta, Hideki Kamiya’s spiritual successor to Devil May Cry. Featuring enhancements with graphics quality and frame rate, both of these titles are on sale in a combined double pack.
What it does: These two games offer thrilling and rewarding experiences across different genres, with deep combat mechanics that encourage mastery and provide satisfying gameplay as players refine their skills.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round ($15.99)

Touted as the fastest racing game, this title delivers on its promise. Fans of F-Zero and Wipeout will find plenty to enjoy, as it feels like a spiritual successor to both, leaning more toward Wipeout’s style while retaining its own flair.
What it does: Offers high octane racing mixed with an ambient electronic soundtrack and striking visuals that accentuate anyone wanting colors to make their HDR compatible monitor or television stand out. This version is also includes the Season Pass and includes optimizations for Xbox Series X|S.
Titanfall 2: Ultimate Edition ($2.99)

One of the biggest gaming tragedies of 2020 was the release of Titanfall 2, as it launched against a new Battlefield title and Call of Duty, leaving the sales to be an absolute travesty. Many games have tried to replicate what Titanfall 2 did, but none have really been able to nail all of what made Titanfall 2 work.
What it does: This game combines a thrilling campaign with modern FPS mechanics, wall-running, platforming, and mech combat, delivering arena shooter-style pacing. Its multiplayer is an absolute blast, making it a strong recommendation, especially during this sale.
