Xbox has begun a new sale featuring multiple Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive titles.
Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden Black is $4.99, and the Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden II is $14.99. Both are backward compatible on Xbox Series X|S and run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.
The original Xbox 360 release of Ninja Gaiden II differs significantly from both Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and the 2025 Unreal Engine 5 remaster, NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black. Enemy density, encounter design, and combat balance vary across all three versions, and many long-time players prefer the pacing and aggression of the 360 original. These titles mark the final Ninja Gaiden games developed under Tomonobu Itagaki before his departure from Team Ninja.
Dead or Alive
The Dead or Alive series is also on sale, including Dead or Alive 1 Ultimate, Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate, Dead or Alive 3, Dead or Alive 4, and Dead or Alive 5: Last Round. Dead or Alive 4 is the final entry developed by Tomonobu Itagaki, while Dead or Alive 5: Last Round is a post-Itagaki release. The first four entries are harder to play on modern consoles outside of this sale, making them an easy pick for collectors or newcomers to the series.
