Deep Silver and developer KING Art Games have announced Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV for PC via Steam. The real-time strategy sequel is set to launch in 2026.
About the Game
Dawn of War IV returns the series to its roots with traditional RTS mechanics while expanding on scale and variety. Players will command four factions—Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus (making their series debut)—across more than 70 campaign missions. The story is co-written by Black Library author John French, featuring CGI intros and fully animated cutscenes.
In addition to the story-driven campaigns, the game includes Last Stand, Skirmish, and competitive multiplayer modes (1v1, 2v2, and 3v3). Fan-favorite mechanics like base building, squad customization, and the Sync Kill system also make a return, offering tactical depth and cinematic melee combat.
Players will be able to customize their forces with the Painter tool, adding personal flair or recreating classic armies from the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
