Console players join the nightmare aboard the Von Braun next week.
Nightdive Studios has confirmed that the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch versions of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will launch on July 10.
Originally scheduled to launch alongside the PC release, the console versions were delayed due to last-minute technical issues. The PC version is currently available on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, and Humble Store as of June 26.
About the Game
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster is a fully overhauled version of the 1999 cult classic—a sci-fi horror FPS/RPG hybrid that influenced an entire generation of immersive sims. Nightdive Studios rebuilt the game using its proprietary KEX Engine, delivering improved performance, modernized visuals, and upgraded co-op functionality.
Set 42 years after the original System Shock, players awaken aboard the derelict starship Von Braun to confront the rogue AI SHODAN and her nightmarish creations. What follows is a journey through cybernetic horror, deadly mutants, and twisted AI ambition.
