About the Game

SHUTEN ORDER blends five distinct gameplay styles in one title, including stealth action horror and multi-perspective visual novels. The story follows Rei Shimobe, the resurrected founder of the Shuten Order, a mysterious cult seeking humanity’s end. Rei has four days to identify and kill their murderer and survive “God’s trial” to achieve true resurrection.

Main Characters

  • Rei Shimobe (Protagonist): The founder brought back to life without memories, disguised as a detective.
  • Himeru & Mikotoru (The Angels): Two “God’s messengers” guide Rei with differing temperaments, one impulsive and hostile, the other calm and analytical.

The Five Ministers & Gameplay Styles

Rei must investigate five ministers, each controlling a branch of Shuten’s government and each offering a unique gameplay experience:

  • Justice: Mystery adventure with evidence analysis and deduction.
  • Health: Intense escape room puzzles and death games.
  • Science: Multi-perspective visual novel with branching routes.
  • Education: Romantic adventure where building affection reveals truths.
  • Security: Stealth action horror focused on survival and evasion.

Depending on which minister is suspected, the storyline and gameplay change dramatically.

Editions & Pre-Order Bonus

  • Digital Deluxe Edition ($64.99): Includes the game, a visual art book, and a mini soundtrack (both exclusive to the set).
  • Pre-order Bonus (Switch): A digital novel titled Before the Murders – case: Manji Fushicho, exploring the backstory of the Minister of Security five years before the main game.
