Capcom is shifting focus toward feature parity and new ways to play.

- New Mini-Game: A surprise gameplay mode is currently scheduled for a May release.
- Story Expansion: Extra story content is officially in development to further explore the world of Requiem.
- Surprise Update: Nakanishi teased an additional “surprise” coming alongside the May content drop.
The development team also confirmed that they are continuing to prioritize bug fixes and performance stability alongside these content updates.
Editor’s Take
Five million copies in less than two weeks is a massive win for Capcom, but the real news here is the Resident Evil Requiem announcement of story DLC.
The “one more thing” tease is a classic Nakanishi move, and it is exactly what the community needed to hear after the credits rolled. While the wait for the expansion will take some time, adding a photo mode and a new mini-game in May should keep the momentum going. It is great to see them supporting the game so aggressively right out of the gate rather than waiting for a “Gold Edition” down the road. We are hoping the mini-game or even the surprise update is Mercenaries, as the refined gameplay for Leon is too much fun to leave on the table.
