Editor’s Take
Seeing Capcom pull a release date forward is a rare sight that suggests massive confidence in the final build. This earlier launch is a huge win for the Nintendo Switch 2 library. Having already put the PRAGMATA Sketchbook demo through its paces, I was particularly impressed by how the game handles on Linux. Testing on my Ryzen 9 5900X / RX 9070 XT system yielded a rock-solid 227 FPS at 1440p running natively without any need for a compatibility layer.
The combat is a refreshing change of pace, centering on Diana’s grid-based hacking to open up enemies for Hugh’s regenerating ammunition. It forces a level of tactical positioning and energy management that feels unique in the genre.
