Pokémon Legends Z-A: New Title Brings Players to Lumiose City
A new chapter in the Pokémon universe is unfolding with Pokémon Legends Z-A, set in the iconic Lumiose City in the Kalos region. The city’s centerpiece, Prism Tower, rises at the heart of this sprawling metropolis. As Lumiose undergoes a major urban transformation to create a space where both people and Pokémon can thrive together, you’ll step into the action.
Upon arriving in Lumiose City, you’ll choose one of three Pokémon—Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile—as your partner. As you explore, you’ll meet new allies, including Urbane or Tawny, and stay at a hotel run by AZ and his partner, Floette. The city’s redevelopment is managed by Quizartico Inc., where you’ll encounter CEO Jet and her secretary, Vinny.
A key feature is the introduction of Wild Zones—safe areas for wild Pokémon in the city. To catch them, aim carefully or weaken them with your Pokémon’s moves for an easier capture.
The game also revamps Pokémon battles, offering varied attack ranges and effects. Timing and positioning are crucial, and you can switch Pokémon during battles for strategic advantages.
Some Pokémon can Mega Evolve, unlocking their full power when a trainer’s keystone syncs with a Mega Stone, shifting the battle in your favor.
As Lumiose continues to evolve into a place where humans and Pokémon coexist, exciting new encounters await.
