Team Ninja has released version 1.02.02 for the Nioh 3 Demo, bringing bug fixes and gameplay adjustments affecting both the demo and retail releases.
Adjustments
- Adjusted sheath/draw weapon and Living Artifact inputs on Control Type D to improve usability when pressing other buttons.
- Reduced elemental damage dealt by Martial Arts while Living Artifact is active.
- Limited consecutive use of certain Martial Arts during Living Artifact.
- Reduced duration and damage of the Onmyo Magic item Soul Purge Talisman.
- Increased the number of Kappa in the “1572 CE – Warring States” field.
Weapon and Martial Art Changes:
Samurai:
- Increased power of Swallow’s Wing (sword), Raijin (dual swords), and Victory Rush (axe).
- Decreased power of Water Sword II (dual swords).
- Fixed various stance and input issues with Frost Moon, Iai Quickdraw, Tornado Edge, Roar, Celestial Retribution, and Flying Chariot.
Ninja:
- Slightly increased launch speed of Wild Lions (tonfa) but decreased Ki damage.
- Increased power of Chain Hurl, Biting Hall, Dragonfly (hatchets), Black Vines, Serpent Strike (kusarigama), Radiant Moon, and Roar Power (splitstaff).
- Decreased Ki damage of Shin Crusher II and strong attacks (splitstaff).
- Adjusted Ki depletion for Dual Hawks (hatchets).
Bug Fixes
General:
- Fixed multiple multiplayer issues including falling through maps, crashes when selecting “Become a Visitor,” and losing Amrita after connection errors.
- Fixed issues with enemy placement, blocked paths, and Martial Arts input inconsistencies across Samurai and Ninja weapons.
- Corrected incorrect descriptions for Martial Arts (Death from Above Water, Chain Hurl II, Roar, etc.).
- Fixed issues with stance changes, aerial jumps, Dash Attacks, Burst Breaks, and style shifts.
- Corrected item usage problems, such as elixirs during Gale Sprint or Soul Purge Talisman resets.
- Fixed multiple Character Creation bugs, including voice type, appearance, and saving conflicts.
- Fixed several Photo Mode issues with camera and exposure settings.
- Made other minor fixes.
Steam-Specific Fixes:
- Corrected issues with keyboard/mouse controls, including Ki Pulse triggering and forward movement during Martial Arts (Roar for axe).
Demo Rewards & Full Game Release
Players who complete the Nioh 3 Demo by February 15, 2026, will unlock the exclusive Twin-Snake Helmet for use in the full game. Nioh 3 launches on February 6, 2026, for PS5™ and PC via Steam.
