Team Ninja released version 1.02.01 for the Nioh 3 Demo, featuring bug fixes and gameplay adjustments.
Adjustments
- Increased the effect values of the special effects Ki Recovery Speed and Ki Recovery Speed (Unscathed).
- Praying at shrines will now automatically restock consumable items from the storehouse, excluding projectiles and Elixirs.
Bug Fixes
Character Creation
- Fixed an issue where certain actions resulted in incorrect menu transitions and sometimes caused the game to crash.
Samurai Skills
- Fixed an issue causing the Samurai Skill Running Water to randomly disappear. (Applying Update 1.02.01 will restore this skill.)
- Fixed an issue preventing Running Water from activating properly under certain conditions.
Ninja Mechanics
- Fixed an issue occurring after enabling Style Shift & Burst Break Separation under Controls, where performing Burst Break immediately after Ninjutsu Pheasant Leap would trigger a Style Shift instead.
- Fixed an issue allowing the player to quickly cancel Style Shift with a Ninjutsu or jump when the Tonfa was drawn in Ninja Style.
- Fixed an issue preventing the player from performing a Grapple while fighting barehanded in Ninja Style.
- Fixed an issue affecting the Max Ninjutsu Stock special effect, where the increased stock of Ninjutsu was lost after performing Style Shift.
- Fixed an issue allowing the player to access areas they should not have access to.
- Fixed an issue causing status ailments inflicted on enemies to disappear at a higher rate than normal during multiplayer sessions.
- Made other minor fixes.
Steam-Specific Fixes
- Fixed an issue that occasionally caused an error when the game ended.
- Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented the player from walking while locked on to a target when using keyboard controls.
- Fixed an issue causing the game to crash when changing monitors via Monitor under Visuals.
- Fixed an issue preventing the player from setting ranged weapon controls to the same key as Guard via Configure Controls (Keyboard/Mouse).
- Fixed an issue preventing the player from shooting arrows if Dodge was set to R2 via Configure Controls.
Demo Rewards & Full Game Release
Players who complete the Nioh 3 Demo by February 15, 2026 will unlock the exclusive Twin-Snake Helmet to use in the full game. Nioh 3 launches on February 6, 2026 for PS5™ and PC via Steam.
