Nintendo has confirmed that U.S. retail pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will officially open on April 24, with launch pricing remaining firm despite earlier uncertainty.
The base model of the Nintendo Switch 2 will release at $449.99. A launch bundle including Mario Kart World will go for $499.99. Both Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza will keep their previously announced prices at $79.99 and $69.99 respectively, whether purchased digitally or physically.
Accessories See Adjusted Pricing
While the console and game prices are holding steady, Nintendo has revised prices for several Switch 2 accessories due to what it refers to as “changes in market conditions.” These include everything from controllers and docks to the camera add-on and carrying cases.

Nintendo acknowledges the delay in opening pre-orders and says it hopes the confirmed details will help ease uncertainty for customers. The Nintendo Switch 2 officially launches on June 5, 2025.
