Nintendo’s upcoming Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has received an updated ESRB rating ahead of its 2025 launch. The game is now rated T for Teen, citing Animated Blood and Violence as content descriptors.

The Metroid Prime series has historically leaned toward darker sci-fi themes, with its blend of atmospheric exploration and alien combat. This updated rating places Beyond in line with past entries such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which also carried a Teen rating.

With Metroid Prime 4: Beyond already confirmed for release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2025, the new ESRB details suggest the game is moving closer to its launch milestone. Fans have been waiting since the game’s original announcement in 2017, and this updated listing offers another sign that the long-anticipated sequel is nearly ready.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will release for the Nintendo Switch platforms in 2025.
