Following reports of save-data loss in the new New Game Plus mode, Metal Eden’s developers have temporarily rolled back the latest version on Steam while investigating the issue across all platforms. Players are advised to hold off on starting NG+ until a fix is confirmed.
New Game Plus (NG+) has gone live for Metal Eden, allowing players to test ASKA at maximum power against the Nexus. NG+ is designed as a mastery-focused mode, ramping up difficulty and providing a fresh experience for those who completed the game. We previously reviewed Metal Eden, which you can read here, and the NG+ mode adds even more depth for returning players.
How to Start New Game Plus
- Complete the main game to unlock NG+ from the Main Menu.
- Begin from the first main mission, skipping tutorials.
- Retain all skills and weapons from your previous playthrough.
Players who start NG+ will retain all skills and weapons from their initial playthrough. The mode begins at the first main mission and skips the tutorial, letting you jump straight into action. Expect tougher enemies, more challenging bosses, and a higher overall difficulty, comparable to Brutal+ levels, as well as opportunities to further level up ASKA and unlock all weapons, skills, and perks.
Metal Eden is currently on sale for 40% off until October 23, offering a perfect chance to revisit the game with NG+ or jump in for the first time.
