GOG has added Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition and the Devil May Cry HD Collection to its storefront as part of its ongoing preservation program. Both releases are DRM-free and will continue receiving compatibility updates, even if they’re eventually removed from sale.
Two DMC Classics, Now DRM-Free
Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition is a remaster of the 2008 original, featuring added cutscenes, gameplay adjustments, and new playable characters like Vergil, Lady, and Trish. It was originally released in 2015.
The HD Collection includes the first three Devil May Cry games from the PS2 era—remastered in high definition. It first launched in 2012 on PS3 and Xbox 360, and was later ported to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2018.
No Bonus Content This Time
Unlike the recent restoration efforts seen with Resident Evil and Silent Hill 4, this is a straightforward release for collectors or anyone looking for a DRM-free option. No cut content restored, no new features—just the games as they’ve been available elsewhere.
Bundle and Launch Discount
The titles are available individually or as a discounted bundle. The full bundle normally runs $44.99, but it’s currently available for $14.84 during GOG’s launch promo, which runs until July 2, 2025.
