Privacy Policy

KonNetwork respects visitor privacy and is committed to minimizing data collection. This policy explains what information is collected, when it is collected, and how it is used.

We collect no personal data from anonymous visitors. You can browse the entire site without tracking, analytics cookies, third-party scripts, or IP logging. Only when you actively interact with the site do we collect anything.

Comments

If you leave a comment:

  • We collect your name, email, optional website, comment text, and IP address with browser user-agent for spam detection only. This data is not shared with third parties and is used only for on-site moderation and spam detection.
  • Standard WordPress comment cookies are set so you don’t have to re-type your info next time. They are strictly functional.
  • Comments are stored in our database and displayed publicly under the name you choose. We never sell or share them. You can request deletion or anonymization anytime.

User Accounts and Registration

If you choose to register or log in:

  • We collect your username, email, and password (hashed, never plain text).
  • A session cookie is set while logged in (functional only, deleted on logout or expiration).
  • No extra profiling, marketing, or sharing occurs.

Social Login

If you log in or register using a social provider:

  • Authentication happens directly with the provider.
  • We only receive the basic info you explicitly allow (usually email and name/username).
  • Their privacy policy applies; we do not control it.

Social Sharing Buttons

  • Share buttons are static links or load the network only when clicked.
  • Nothing is sent just by loading the page. Once you click, the social platform’s cookies and policies apply.

Other Technical Data

  • Analytics: We use Independent Analytics, a self-hosted, cookie-free system that counts page views anonymously. No IP addresses or personal data are stored.
  • Hosting logs: Temporary server logs exist for security, auto-deleted quickly, never used for tracking.
  • Embedded content (YouTube, etc.): Blocked behind a permanent click-to-load warning. Nothing loads until you click. Note that ad blockers or browser shields (like Brave) may prevent the embed from loading even after clicking.

In Short

  • Anonymous browsing = zero personal data collected.
  • All other data is only collected if you comment, register, log in with social, or click to share/load embeds.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold.

Email contact@thekonnetwork.com and we’ll handle it immediately.
