KonNetwork is an independent analytical outlet. We do not chase the 24-hour news cycle or manufacture hype. We are looking for specialized analysts who want to provide a definitive technical and historical record of the games they play.
Our contributors are documentarians. We prioritize the “Second Wave” of coverage: deep-dives, technical audits, and retrospectives that offer lasting value to the reader.
Who We’re Looking For
- Technical Analysts: Writers who understand game mechanics as systems and can explain them with the clarity of a technical manual.
- Specialists: Individuals with deep knowledge of specific niches such as Survival Horror, JRPGs, or the history of Sega.
- Linux Enthusiasts: Contributors capable of performing manual technical verification on Nobara or other Linux distributions.
- Researchers: Writers who value crediting the entire development team and can provide historical context for every work.
Platform & Hardware Access
To ensure we can distribute the review load across the network, we look for analysts who have access to at least one current generation platform. This allows us to verify technical performance and stability in native environments.
We are specifically looking for contributors with access to any of the following:
- PC: Mid-range to high-end gaming PCs or Linux-based setups (Nobara, Proton).
- Handhelds: Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, or similar devices.
- Sony: PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Pro.
- Microsoft: Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S.
- Nintendo: Nintendo Switch or the Switch 2.
Our focus is on how a game performs for the average player. By testing on a variety of systems, we can provide a more accurate picture of technical health across the entire industry.
The Standard
All contributors must strictly adhere to the following:
- Proper Attribution: We honor the collective effort of developers. You must research and credit the key personnel responsible for the game.
- The B.E.I.V.T. Framework: Every review follows our specific structure to ensure analytical consistency.
- Manual Verification: No AI-generated content is permitted. Every word must be the result of human observation and testing.
- No Hype: Titles and presentation must avoid clickbait or misleading framing.
Editorial Independence
This is a volunteer-driven project. We operate without paid sponsorships or outside investors to maintain total editorial freedom. Our goal is to provide honest, uncompromised analysis. If your goal is to build a portfolio of high-fidelity work that prioritizes correctness over speed, we want to hear from you.
How to Apply
Email mailto:contact@thekonnetwork.com with the following:
- A brief introduction: Tell us your specialized niche and your technical background.
- Work samples: Provide links to one or two analytical pieces that demonstrate your ability to audit a game’s systems or history.
Submissions are reviewed personally, and we’ll guide you on next steps if your style and perspective align with the site.
