Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Covenant Coming 2026 For Mobile

Publisher Sunborn Network Technology and developer Hecate Team have officially announced Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract for mobile platforms.

Revealed during the 10th Anniversary Music Carnival in Shanghai, the title marks a move for the franchise toward 4-player cooperative third-person shooter gameplay.

Girls’ Frontline: Blue Butterfly Contract | Official Trailer

In the trailer, Tololo, Zhaohui, Mosin-Nagant, and Qiuhua can be seen fighting together in a snowy environment. The footage lacks HUD elements as it is more of a proof-of-concept trailer. Seeing a variety of Dolls included in the initial announcement is a positive sign for the diversity of the final roster.

Cooperative Combat & Role Sharing

Developed by the Hecate Team, the group behind the Fire Control project, this new entry prioritizes real-time tactical action. Players work with teammates to fight off waves of enemies in randomized environments, focusing on role-sharing and team-based objectives. The strategy-focused RPG style of the past is set aside for fast-paced movement, positioning, and action feedback.

The game utilizes the “NPR + PBR” rendering pipeline first established in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium. This allows for realistic lighting and material responses while maintaining the anime-inspired aesthetic the series is known for.

A Lighter Production for the 10th Anniversary

Sunborn is positioning this as a medium-scale production with a lighter tone than the upcoming Reverse Collapse: F. It serves as a bridge title to build a player base for the shooter genre before the flagship project arrives in 2028. The game will support multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Korean, when it launches in 2026 for iOS and Android.
