The Switch 2 version will feature a Performance mode (1080p/60fps) and a Quality mode (4K/30fps with HDR). This mode toggle will also come to Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 at a later date.

The Switch version can be played on a Switch 2, where the update data upgrades graphics to the Switch 2 standard and allows players to choose between Performance and Quality modes. If the cartridge is returned to a standard Switch, those options won’t be available. Players can rest assured that buying the Switch version is fully compatible with both hardware versions and is the easiest way to own a physical copy without a game-key card.

Time Stranger’s base version retails for $59.99 for both the Switch cartridge and the Switch 2 game-key card.
