Suikoden STAR LEAP features two combat styles: timeline-based turn-based battles and real-time skirmishes. Regular battles allow players to rotate between standard attacks, rune abilities, and special skills while coordinating with allies. War Mode shifts to real-time, with units on both sides acting simultaneously — making awareness and movement crucial.

Up to six characters can be slotted into front and back rows, and yes, familiar faces from past Suikoden games are part of the playable cast.

Suikoden -Gate Rune War- The Stage – Coming in 2026


The franchise is heading to the stage. A live performance titled Gate Rune War – The Stage is now in production, with a premiere planned for 2026. The stream shared its first visual, hinting at how the original game’s war-torn story will be reimagined for theater.
