Konami has unveiled Fox Hunt, an all-new online multiplayer mode coming to Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Announced during the Konami Press Start broadcast, the mode promises to offer a fresh, stealth-driven experience that reimagines Metal Gear’s online potential.
“Fox Hunt is a completely original online multiplayer mode,” said mode director Yu Sahara. “It’s not a revival of Metal Gear Online—it’s something different. While rooted in the same world as Snake Eater, the gameplay is entirely distinct.”
Sahara emphasized the evolution of multiplayer expectations:
“Camouflage, stealth, and the tension between hiding and hunting—those are the foundations. Fox Hunt aims to be more than just a shootout. It’s hide-and-seek reimagined with the iconic elements fans know from the Metal Gear series.”
While full gameplay details are still under wraps, Konami confirmed that more Fox Hunt updates are coming in the near future.
In addition, platform-exclusive minigames were revealed:
- PlayStation 5 & PC: Will include the fan-favorite Snake vs. Monkey minigame featuring characters from Ape Escape.
- Xbox Series: Instead receives the newly revealed Snake vs. Bomberman crossover minigame.
