Team NINJA and PlatinumGames, in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, have announced NINJA GAIDEN 4, the long-awaited return of the high-octane hack-and-slash series. Launching October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, the game will also be available day one via Xbox Game Pass. A Deluxe Edition was also confirmed.
A Legacy Reborn
NINJA GAIDEN 4 revives the intense, lightning-fast combat that made the franchise legendary, now fused with PlatinumGames’ signature flair for stylish action. Ryu Hayabusa returns, not as the sole hero, but as mentor to a new protagonist—Yakumo, a young ninja prodigy facing a supernatural threat engulfing a near-future Tokyo.
Players can expect iconic techniques like the Izuna Drop and Flying Swallow, now enhanced with new mechanics such as Bloodbind Ninjutsu, which transforms weapons mid-combat for devastating effects. Weapon and skin customization, intense combo potential, and brutal enemy design promise to challenge veterans while still being approachable for newcomers.
