Nintendo has announced that 12 of its first-party Nintendo Switch titles will receive free updates that enhance the gameplay experience when played on Switch 2. These updates, rolling out on June 5, 2025, include visual improvements, frame rate boosts, HDR support, and multiplayer features via GameShare and GameChat.

Here’s the full list of supported titles and the upgrades they’ll receive:

ARMS

  • Visuals: Enhanced for Switch 2 display and high-resolution TVs.
  • Frame Rate: Smoother performance, including with three or more players.
  • HDR support

Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain

  • GameShare Support: Up to four players in Party Mode, local or online via GameChat.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

  • Visuals: Enhanced for Switch 2 and high-res displays.
  • HDR support
  • GameShare Support: Two-player support for all courses, local or online via GameChat.

Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics

  • GameShare Support: Up to four players can play 34 games, local or online via GameChat.

Game Builder Garage

  • Visuals: Optimized for Switch 2 and high-resolution TVs.
  • Joy-Con 2 Mouse Support

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

  • Visuals: Optimized for Switch 2 and high-resolution TVs.

Pokémon Scarlet

  • Visuals: Optimized for Switch 2 and high-resolution TVs.
  • Frame Rate: Improved for smoother movement.

Pokémon Violet

  • Visuals: Optimized for Switch 2 and high-resolution TVs.
  • Frame Rate: Improved for smoother movement.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury

  • Visuals: Enhanced for Switch 2 and high-res displays.
  • Frame Rate: Improved, including Bowser’s Fury mode.
  • HDR support: Bowser’s Fury only.
  • GameShare Support:
    • Up to four players in 3D World.
    • Two-player mode in Bowser’s Fury.
    • Local or online via GameChat.

Super Mario Odyssey

  • Visuals: Enhanced for Switch 2 and high-resolution TVs.
  • HDR support
