Suikoden II Anime Will Be a Multi-Season Adaptation

Konami has shared new details about the upcoming Suikoden II anime adaptation during the second episode of its official “Suikoden Live” stream, aired on May 15, 2025.

Appearing on the program, Suikoden series producer Rui Naito addressed a common question from fans: how much of the original game’s story will be covered. Naito confirmed that the anime will fully explore the narrative between the protagonist and Jowy, meaning it won’t be confined to a single season. While he didn’t commit to a total episode count, Naito suggested the adaptation would span multiple seasons to tell the complete story.

First Overseas Exhibit Planned for Anime Expo 2025

Konami also revealed that Suikoden II will have a presence at Anime Expo 2025 this July. Visitors can find original production art from the anime at the Animate booth—marking the first time this material will be exhibited outside of Japan.

The Suikoden II anime is being handled by Konami Animation, the studio behind the Symphonic Poem from Suikoden bonus video and Yu-Gi-Oh! CARD GAME THE CHRONICLES. Direction is being led by Yuzo Sato.
