Nintendo has pushed a new update for Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, bumping the game up to Version 1.0.2. The patch introduces an extensive list of bug fixes along with some functional tweaks and UI improvements.
The update is live now—here’s what’s been addressed:
? Bug Fixes
- Skell flight crash during the affinity mission “A Girl’s Wings” has been resolved.
- Online Missions now correctly display the host player’s position and appearance.
- Destination markers for Material Tracking and Squad Tasks should now appear as intended.
- Audio bugs—like mono playback in cutscenes and environment music restarting after combat—have been corrected.
- A serious save data corruption issue involving Recruited Blades and dummy characters has been fixed. Applying the update will also repair corrupted files.
- Overdrive UI bugs, debuff label errors, and combat log issues have all been addressed.
- Numerous event and cutscene bugs have been ironed out—such as the invisible “Divine Nupopon” and post-Chapter 13 control glitches.
- Several augment effects now work as described, including “Overdrive Green Bonus” and “Overdrive Count Up.”
- Skell weapon duplication and damage display issues have been fixed.
- Language bugs in localized versions (German, Spanish, etc.) have been corrected.
- Fashion Gear list issues, Skell part restores, and shop-related slot bugs are all sorted.
- And yes, they’ve even cleaned up typos and patched up confirmed vulnerability exploits.
?? Functional Changes & Additions
- New tips will now appear on certain menu screens, like Class Change.
- Online Missions now show buff and debuff icons for clarity.
- The two basic missions previously both titled “Backup Request” now have distinct names.
