Konami has released details on an upcoming patch for Suikoden I & II HD Remaster, addressing various issues across both games. While the exact release date for the patch remains unconfirmed, the team has outlined key fixes and quality-of-life improvements that will be included.
Known Issues Being Addressed
Suikoden I & II
- Term discrepancies across different languages.
- Healing rune effects malfunctioning when used in the field with empty party slots.
Suikoden I
- Game freezing if an enemy drops an item while the inventory is full during the Seika event or Zombie Dragon fight.
- Certain battle scenarios causing freezes.
- Unite attack damage calculations not aligning with their displayed values.
- Errors occurring in a specific event when playing on high-frame-rate PCs with VSYNC enabled.
- City and dungeon background music occasionally failing to play correctly.
Suikoden II
- Storage room items becoming invalid when selecting “Arrange.”
- Errors when selecting “Retrieve” for certain dishes in storage.
- Errors when selecting “Strip” right after highlighting certain dishes in storage.
- Missing button controls for mini-games on PC and PS5.
- Stat boosts from items like the Stone of Power providing lower increases compared to the original game.
- Errors occurring in battle when assigning a character with the Medicine Rune while having empty party slots.
Additionally, Konami has acknowledged other miscellaneous issues that will be fixed in this patch.
New Features and Quality-of-Life Updates
Konami is also introducing several enhancements aimed at improving player experience, including:
- An option to close the game manually on PC.
- The ability to adjust background music playback speed when using double speed in battles.
- A toggle for footstep sound effects.
- An option to change the dash mechanic.
- A toggle to enable or disable auto-save.
- Additional item information when selecting “Retrieve” in storage, including equip compatibility and stat changes.
- A visual change to the Stars of Destiny name colors on the tablet, making it clearer when they temporarily leave the army. (The home base level-up conditions remain unchanged from the original game.)
With this patch, Konami aims to refine the overall experience and address some of the community’s biggest concerns. Once the release date is confirmed, the team will provide a follow-up announcement.
